Default Steam Purchase

So I see on the Guild Wars site if you purchase the game the final expansion comes free. If I purchase the Trilogy on Steam, does that also come with it? Does anyone know? (Trilogy is main game, and the first two expansions)

You will not.
You only gain Eye of the North when you purchase from the in-game or NC Soft stores.

On a side note, Eye of the North is the only expansion. Factions and Nightfall are stand-alone campaigns like the original.

Unless they have it so the ingame/ncsoft give you the code, I'd assume when steam gives you the key to create the account or addon, your account would just be gifted the EoTN expansion automatically regardless. I could be wrong, however.

yes, i played WoW for 3 years, and havent played an mmo really in a year now. just figured id pick up something for my spare time. no sub is nice

but the deal for the 3 is 25 bucks so thats the main reason i am interested, but if i had to pay another i dont even know for the expansion id be less thrilled. and im assuming the other two, are semi essential for the full game experience?

if anyones super kind enough to talk to me about this ill be home at like 12:15 tonight (est), could pm me an email to talk on msn or something. i just kind of want to get all the facts straight, and the steam deals reset at like 11 or 12 each day.

$25 for 3 stand alone games is a bargain. The expansion is high level content, so you couldn't really play there to begin with anyway.

Just adding so people know what the STEAM deal included:

Guild Wars: Trilogy (incl. are Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall - so in total you will have 8 character slots);
GotY bonus items / upgrade;
MOX hero and Fire Imp summoning stones upgrades.

and it really was a nice deal to pick up if you had the chance!

That is a good deal. Guess I should check Steam more often. I guess that was a weekend deal or something? Next best deal for the trilogy is 36.99 shipped at newegg.com for the retail boxed version.

I have seen the same package offered in Steam in EB Games for about $60, so $25 is a steal.

Heck, buy two!
